Top Five Mistakes When Using Facebook Ads

Thank you Darrell White

  1. Mixing up warm and cold audiences (hint: the cold population might be much larger and the algorithm targets them!)
  2. Using You, Your or You're in the ad title, leading to rejection
  3. Using only one Audience when testing
  4. Testing too many audiences simultaneously
  5. Not using Facebook Pixel

From my interview with him, to find out what a digital marketing advisor does:

UGC - User Generated Content is becoming big - if you make a slick video that looks like it was produced in a studio, people are less likely to engage with it. A lot of ads are moving in the UGC direction.

A new issue clients need help dealing with is scammers - the scammers end up getting a lot of free advertising and the victim ends up with a big advertising bill.

7 - 11 - 4

7 : Number of hours people have to interact with you to trust you enough to buy from you
11 : Number of "moments" or interactions
4 : Number of platforms (locations) they need to find you on

Wish I had known earlier : How to choose the right cliens.

Biggest mistakes you see people making : Not setting the right objective when choosing their ad strategy. People use ads to generate traffic and then complain that they're not getting enough sales. But that's not something you blame on the ads. Your landing platform isn't converting the traffic. 2nd biggest mistake is in the type of content.
